HMC Trading and Service Company Limited, owner of the Mori brand, is known as a business that has achieved certain successes in the Vietnamese laundry detergent market. On November 3, 2021, the company turned four years old. This also marks a year of significant transformation for HMC, achieving commendable business results amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the late autumn afternoon, over a warm tea, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hang – Director of HMC Trading and Service Company Limited, shared some quick and interesting insights about the “trade”.
Madam, in 2021, alongside the difficulties, HMC has achieved certain successes. So, what are the decisive factors for this success?
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused significant losses to Vietnamese businesses in general, including HMC. Consequently, consumer buying behavior has also changed, becoming more demanding. Understanding consumer behavior is one of the most challenging and unpredictable aspects of business. To adapt, survive, and continue to grow, businesses must think and act quickly, and be willing to change. We are no exception.
We conduct business with responsibility, and personally, I believe this is the best foundation for breakthrough success.
The three core values we pursue are:
Heart (Tâm): Valuing the customer’s benefits, always placing the customer at the center of all activities.
Trust (Tín): Becoming a beloved brand of Vietnamese consumers, a trusted partner in business.

At HMC, the customer is the center of all activities. We research and segment our customer base to have specific strategies regarding price, product, and service. Concurrently, we actively innovate programs to target loyal customers through various interactive channels or attract new customers through promotional programs.
In addition to expanding the number of distributors and agents, we aim to directly connect with customers through user experience programs, and the ultimate beneficiary here is the customer.
What is HMC’s future direction, ma’am?
We aim to become one of the best-quality and lowest-cost cleaning product manufacturers in Vietnam.
Alongside renovation and investment in upgrading production technology, we place great emphasis on environmental protection activities; training a team of experienced, professionally skilled production staff who are eager to learn and dedicated to their profession.
Based on user feedback, we are striving to introduce more Mori-branded cleaning products. In the long run, the company is working hard to find overseas partners for export.
